The Ubiquiti UniFi EdgeRouter X SFP is a compact yet powerful gigabit-class router designed for high-speed home or small office networks that require both reliability and advanced features. With five Gigabit RJ45 ports and a dedicated 1G SFP port, it offers flexible connectivity options, including fiber uplinks and PoE output for downstream devices. The dual-core processor and 256 MB of DDR3 RAM provide sufficient performance for routing, firewalling, and other network services in small-scale environments.
Despite its small footprint, the ER-X-SFP supports passive 24 V PoE output (up to 50 W total) on its RJ45 ports, making it ideal for powering access points or cameras directly from the router.
